It can be hard to choose which materials you use for your basement floor, so we wanted to help make it easier to choose! Here are a couple popular options you might choose from:
Carpet tile
Carpet tile is a great choice for basement floors. It adds a cushion to your floor, making it a great choice for people with young ones running around. It also absorbs sound very well, and won’t feel as cold as a solid surface on your floor. Every piece can be pulled up and replaced if it’s ever damaged. It’s much more durable than regular sheet carpet, so it will look and feel great for many years to come!
LVT & LVP (Luxury Vinyl Tile and Luxury Vinyl Plank) –
This product is a great and cost effective choice for a solid surface floor. It comes in many different styles, mimicking the look of wood, tile, and stone. It has a backing layer to add cushion and padding so it’s comfortable to walk on. The padding also offers a layer of insulation from your cold concrete floor. It’s very durable and easy to care for, so it is going to last for years to come. It’s also a candidate for a heated underlayment so if you wanted to have a heated floor all over or just your bathroom, we can do that for you.
Ceramic or Porcelain Tile –
This is the classic and timeless floor choice. It will be durable and beautiful for a lifetime. Tile floors can be very robust or neutral, it’s up to you to decide. This is a great choice if you want to add a wet bar or kitchenette in your basement. It can withstand spills and will keep looking great year after year. If you wanted to add a heated underlayment, this can be done with tile.
